High-speed automatic fire extinguishing system as a factor of "liveness" of objects of the sea and land-based


    In recent years, the stock of ammunition and bases, as well as facilities for the production and disposal of weapons and ammunition was a large number of fires and explosions.
Fire protection of such objects is ineffective, fire suppression systems and staff coming from the side, did not provide a rapid response, which led to the development of large-scale fires in large areas.
    JSC NPO "Sopot" is the latest technology patent holder suppression fire on a pile of ammunition, in particular by means of fire engine with ballistic protection on the chassis of the T-72, which is provided with a guaranteed extinguishing fires in open storage piles.
In the development of the technology developed and tested a high-speed automatic fire extinguishing system (Baspa) "Blizzard."
    This system is presented as a model sample intended for evaluation, fire, field tests at sites with a high degree of fire and explosion hazard.
At the heart of the fire protection of such facilities is necessary detection ignition with flame detectors for the time up to 0.3 s and the combined flow of the jets of fire extinguishing foams different dispersion and multiplicity (pen low, medium and high expansion). In this case, low expansion foam, having a high-energy, high density (close to the density of water) and high cooling capacity, provides cooling rate of a chemical reaction and cool the surface of solid and liquid combustibles.
    Medium expansion foam insulation contributes to the chemical reaction zone (Combustion) of oxygen from the surrounding space, and high expansion foam due to the low thermal conductivity prevents heat transfer to the surroundings. Moreover, in the case of an explosive nature, it reduces the burning power of the explosion of a few dozen times.
Thus, this technology simultaneously extinguishing foams object provides:
        1.Lokalizatsiyu combustion within the enclosed space (volume).
        2.Otbor heat (cooling of walls, doors, ceilings, dr.konstruktsy).
        3.Profilakticheskuyu treatment facility after a fire.
    Conducted field tests of the system, which confirmed that the system responds to the flame burning gunpowder weighing less than 0.1 kg. The response time from the onset of the flame to the extinguishing agent into the combustion zone to the intensity of at least 30% of the maximum of about 1 second.
    The objects of firefighting can be taken of facilities and equipment for the storage, processing and transportation of fireworks, igniter-retarding compounds, systems and facilities for disposal and destruction of arms and ammunition and explosive chemicals and other objects particularly explosive production.
